Devil's Meat

Evil Friendship

The Book Of Lies
Deliverance had a short lifespan — 1986 to 1991 but they made a lasting impression. Was it the appallingly tasteless front cover of their first album 'Devil's Meat'; the total lack of live performances or interviews; or the viciousness of some of their lyrics?

Every fan seemed to have a different reason for getting into the band and the press just couldn't understand what was happening — one journalist suggesting that "Deliverance are two sandwiches short of a picnic."  Listen to the music on offer here and picnics will be the very last thing on your mind.

The band reformed very briefly in 1992 to record some additional material for a compilation album and Master Daniels had this to say:

"We also took this opportunity to record something new with "Stealer Of Dreams." Kris Krowe took his usual breakfast of six tins of the best beer around and forty of the most evil cigarettes we could find, before screaming down the microphone like a demented demon , whilst Sin and myself played second fiddle to create a very wild track."

"It was great to play as a unit again, the drinks bill once again exceeded the studio costs by 200% and after two or three days health matters became foremost so we stopped [for two hours] before starting it all up again."

Rumours continue to circulate about a missing fourth album
